Auto Expo 2023 Lexus LF 30, LF Z EV on display: battery, range, performance

Lexus introduced two concept models – the LF-30 and LF-Z EVs – at its booth at Auto Expo 2023. The LF-30 Electrified and LF-Z Electrified, both with all-wheel drive, but in where the former has four-wheel drive a dual-motor setup, the latter has four motors in the wheel.

Lexus LF-30 Electrification: what is it?

As a radical Lexus concept, the interior of the LF-30 is based on Lexus’ Tazuna concept, essentially creating a space that allows the driver to focus on driving while controlling other functions. without having to shift their focus off the road. . Front passengers are said to mimic first class seats on an airline. The rear seats use something called artificial muscle technology that is said to mold the seats according to the passenger.

The LF-30 also features a Mark Levinson sound system that has built-in speakers on the headrest and features noise cancellation. Furthermore, the glass roof above the seats is capable of voice and gesture controls to change the information displayed on the AR-enabled SkyGate screen.

Powering the LF-30 concept are four electric motors – one housed in four wheels – and combined, it produces 544 hp and 700 Nm of torque. It is said to reach a top speed of 200 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds (claimed). The LF-30 has a 110kWh battery that can be charged with a 150kW charger and has a WLTP rated range of 500km.

Interestingly, Lexus also demonstrated its wireless charging technology with the LF-30. This is controlled using AI-based energy management (artificial intelligence) for optimal distribution to the user’s car and home.

Lexus LF-Z Electrified: details

Another concept car on display is the LF-Z Electrified, which also incorporates Lexus’ Tazuna concept. It uses AI to learn the driver’s preferences and behavior to provide assistance, such as driver assistance. Like the LF-30 EV, the LF-Z also features a Mark Levinson sound system with noise cancellation technology. Furthermore, it also has a digital key feature that allows users to share a vehicle without having to exchange physical keys.

It can be said that, under the hood, the LF-Z is equipped with dual electric motors that produce 544 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. Lexus is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 200 km / h and a time of 0-100 km / h in 3 seconds. The 90kWh battery has a range of 600km (WLTP cycle) and can be charged using a 150kW charger.
