She rose to fame in the girl group Bardot more than two decades ago before turning to a quiet interior design career.
And now Belinda Chapple has revealed one of her biggest regrets from her time as a celebrity.
In an emotional post on Instagram, the 47-year-old shared a heartbreaking secret behind a nude photo session she did for art magazine Black + White in 2001.

“Like a very bold, brave, carefree, and excited 26-year-old, I jumped at the chance,” she said.
‘Looking back at these photos today 20 years later, I’m amazed at this young lady and I’m sure I wouldn’t have had the courage to do this today.
‘And it’s not because my body has changed. More importantly, my thinking and boundaries have changed. ‘
The former singer said while the pictures were ‘great to have’, they were also a ‘harsh reminder’ of the body problems she suffered in her 20s and 30s.

‘I remember starving to death before this scene. Not healthy at all,’ she said.
“My poor little body isn’t getting the nutrients it really needs,” she continued.
‘One regret is that I wasn’t kind to my younger body and I didn’t seek support at the time.’
She finished: ‘It’s amazing how we mature and evolve as humans. Always remember to treat your body well. Hold it in your lap. ‘

Belinda recently teamed up with Paramount+ to produce a TV series inspired by her time at Bardot.
The series, titled Paper Dolls, will chronicle the rise of a fictional, produced pop group called Indigo.
Ainslie Clouston, the show’s creator, said of the series: ‘We are delighted to bring the very exciting story of the Paper Dolls to life. We can’t wait to bring glitter, edgy pop stars and everything from 2000 back to the screen. ‘

Filmmaking about the Paper Dolls will begin in Sydney later this year, with the series slated to hit television screens in 2023.
Bardot, consisting of members Katie Underwood, Sally Polihronas, Sophie Monk, Tiffani Wood and Belinda Chapple, is the biggest girl band in Australia after forming on Popstars in 1999.
Despite their success with hit singles like Poison, the group disbanded after only a few years and disbanded in early 2002.
