Australian-funded Bushmaster armored vehicle heading to Ukraine
On Friday, the Australian Government confirmed that it has further supported the Government of Ukraine by donating 20 Bushmaster Protected Mobile Vehicles, including two ambulance variants, to assist the Government of Ukraine in its response to the crisis. Australia’s response follows a direct request from President Zelenskyy in his address to a joint session of the Australian Parliament on 31 March 2022.
The Bushmaster Protected Mobility Vehicle was built in Australia to provide protected mobility, safely transporting troops to the combat zone before disembarking for close combat. The Bushmaster Protected Mobility Vehicle is well suited to protect Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers and Ukrainian civilians against mines and improvised explosive devices, shrapnel from artillery and small arms fire.

20 vehicles have been painted olive green to match the operating environment.
In addition, a Ukrainian flag is drawn on both sides with the words “United with Ukraine” engraved in English and Ukrainian to acknowledge our commitment and support to the Government and people of Ukraine. The ambulance will have the traditional red cross symbol.
Bushmaster Protected Mobility Vehicles will be equipped with radios, global positioning systems and additional bolted armor for added protection.
