German luxury carmaker Audi will focus solely on electric vehicles by 2033 and will discontinue international production of internal combustion engine (ICE) cars, a top official said on Tuesday. Audi India director Balbir Singh Dhillon said the automaker will cease production of the current ICE-supplied models and will begin the transition to selling only electric vehicles from 2033 onwards. Dhillon made it clear that the company will produce all existing models equipped with gasoline engines and will retail until 2032 to convert to electric vehicles.
