Atlus needs Remaster SMT IV and Apocalypse

If there’s one thing Atlus has been getting really good at lately, it’s respecting and preserving older titles in its massive library. Mostly modern personality game and main stream Shin megami tensei header exists on current systems. However, there are two notable exceptions that can be used as a solution, such as: SMTIV And Apocalypse remaster collection.

If you want, you can technically play each major line Shin megami tensei game now on a modern system. After all, there is a great remaster of Serenade on all current systems and PCs. Additionally, there is the recent release of SMTV: Revengemake it available to everyone.

In fact, you can even play older games SMT titles, such as the first game, the second game, and even if on Nintendo Switch. That is, if you have a Japanese account. However, the unspeakable can at least happen for two specific games that were overlooked: Shin Megami Tensei IV And Apocalypse. As of now, there are only major games that are not available on current hardware.

They were also only released on the Nintendo 3DS and nowhere else. So unless you use the wrong media, you won’t be able to play them without a 3DS handheld. This is why developing a remaster collection is so important. I could see a situation where two connected games come together into a remastered collection across Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Modernizing them is not too difficult. Even though these games have a second screen, removing it isn’t too much of a problem. The bottom screen with your demons just moves to the top screen in some way. 3D visuals still look solid on the 3DS, so you just need a little bit of lighting there. Of course, some quality-of-life features might be welcome, but that’s about it.

For me, SMTIV: Doomsday is my favorite game in the series. It perfectly balances story, characters, and a complex world to explore brilliantly. SMTIV is also great, although the two are quite similar in some ways. Given how solid these games are – even better than recent games SMTV, in my opinion – it’s a shame they’re stuck elsewhere. In fact, Atlus currently has a pretty open list for Shin Megami Tensei series. With the release revengeThere are no other games in the franchise.

ONE SMTIV And Apocalypse The remaster collection could be the perfect next title to please fans. They will be implemented quite easily and bring simple success to the company. Better yet, one SMTIV And Apocalypse remaster collection can attract fans until Shin Megami Tensei VI, Character 6, or whatever comes next from Atlus. Those games are likely still a few years away, so this would be a great way to attract players.

I would be happy if they were included Strange journey also. It also suffers from the unfortunate mobile-only dilemma. It might be too soon then revenge for a SMTIV And Apocalypse remaster collection, but it needed to happen eventually. The release of these two great 3DS JRPGs for modern consoles and PC would be a welcome release in 2025 or 2026. Regardless, I hope Atlus doesn’t let these games remain Exclusively on 3DS.

Shin Megami Tensei IV and Apocalypse is currently only available for Nintendo 3ds.
