Ather’s 100,000th e-scooter to hit the production line is the True Red 450X.
Ather has produced its 100,000th electric scooter, the True Red 450X, has come off the assembly line from the recently opened Hosur factory. The manufacturer passed the production milestones of 25,000 and 50,000 units in March and May of last year, respectively.

Ather Energy has also increased the number of Ather Grid public charging stations from 580 in October to 885 today, all over India. The Bengaluru-based startup, which has outlined plans to expand from 56 stores in 50 cities currently to 120 showrooms in 95 cities by the end of 2023, opened 14 showrooms in December 2022, including those in Noida, Nellore, Karimnagar, Udupi, Kottayam and Shivamogga.
January 2023 also saw Ather release the statistical second edition of its annual summary report: ‘Ather in 2022’ In which, the company’s e-scooter has traveled more than 389 million km last year, helping to reduce 5,631 tons of CO2 emissions.
Among the many findings are Tier II cities that are achieving higher average daily distances per scooter with Secunderabad leading the charts. An interesting piece of information is that the total distance traveled by Ather users in Reverse Assist is 81,197 km.
Ready for the future with a production capacity of 4.3 lakh units
What is helping Ather Energy achieve better sales numbers is the improved supply to the company’s showrooms across the country. The company has become future-ready with steady cash flow from Second manufacturing plant in Hosur in Tamil Nadu. The new plant, employing 1,600 employees, is twice the size of the first plant with two vehicles and three battery lines.
