Atari’s first ‘Sprint’ game in three decades launches on Switch next month
Atari announced that NeoSprintthe first one ‘Acceleration’ Entered the country since 1987 Champion sprint (well, technically it was 1989 wasteland), will race on the Switch eShop next month on June 27, 2024.
As detailed in the newly released trailer, the game will feature modernized visuals with an updated isometric view of the action. You’ll also be able to build and fully customize your own courses, adding ramps, jumps, and decorations across four biomes: forest, desert, winter, and city.
You can play alone against up to eight AI opponents or gather your family and friends to join in the fun. Additional modes like Obstacle Course and Time Trial will also be available once you complete the main Campaign Mode.
Developed by Headless Chicken Games, the team has previously contributed to titles such as Nickelodeon’s All-Star Wars, GI Joe: Operation BlackoutAnd Bramble: King of the Mountain.
Atari also recently announced growthThe new Metroidvania is based on the classic 2600 title Yars’ Revenge, developed by WayForward Technologies. No release date has been announced yet, but it’s currently scheduled to launch later this year.
