At the scene of the Israeli attack in central Beirut
Israel has carried out air strikes across Lebanon for days, but Sunday’s attack on Kola was the first to target the heart of the capital Beirut.
Lebanon’s Health Ministry said four people were killed and four others injured in the attack.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) – a Palestinian militant group – said three of its leaders were among those killed.
The group is not involved in the cross-border conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, but is believed to have participated in the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel and the subsequent war in Gaza.
BBC correspondent Carine Torbey reports from the scene.
