The C4 version of the ‘Vette, produced for 12 years from 1984 to 1996, is now the brand’s entry-level version. Much as has long been the case with Porsche’s 996 version of the 911, the C4′ Vette is despised, especially in regards to earlier and later versions. That means decent versions can still be bought relatively cheaply and still enjoyed for all their congenial Corvettes.

This is particularly interesting because it has two desirable features. The first of which is the ZF-derived six-speed club, first offered on the Corvette in the C4. That replaces earlier and Doug Nash 4 + 3 executable nanny manual.

The other notable inclusion is the Z51 performance suspension package. This option adds Bilstein shock absorbers, a faster steering ratio, larger anti-roll bars and wider wheels with fatter tires. It should be noted that these two add-ons are not mutually exclusive. Z51 package is only available in the car with the manual.
