At $19,995, is this 88 Dodge Ram Monitoring Valve a bargain?

Good price or no dice 1988 Dodge D250 Ram Van

The whole idea of a means of radio surveillance was that it was supposed to be nothing special, which is what it is today. Good price or no dice Dodge does not. Let’s see if we can crack this quirky Ram van and its selling price.

Mercedes-Benz recently announced that, in certain markets, it plans to switch consumer cars and trucks to electric power by the end of the decade. That decision was rectified a bit recently when a rep revealed that the company has no plans to retire its V8s this decade, and that if the need arises, AMG will even continue to build them. after 2030.

It’s a relief for gas investors, but if cars like yesterday 2006 Mercedes E55 AMG still around and in good shape, will it really matter? Our Benz was presented in like-new condition, even though it was miles away. That and the $26,000 asking price didn’t sit well with many of you, with a 61% No Dice loss as a result.

Going into yesterday’s vote, the result looks like a subversion. Of course, if the ability to tap your phone line or block your Internet feed was available, we could have determined what the end result would be before the fact. If only there was something like an old FBI surveillance vehicle around to support such hypothetical efforts.

Here 1988 Dodge Ram B250 advertised as an old FBI surveillance van.

For whatever reason, it’s been made up to look like the Mystery Machine from the beloved Saturday morning cartoon show, Scooby Doo, Where are you! That performance was a symbol for many seventeen-year-old boys, as debate raged across the middle school lunch courts and gym classes about whether Velma or Daphne is the more attractive one. First of all, I’ve always been on Team Velma. Tween girls don’t need to argue like that because there’s really no question about whether Fred or Shaggy is the better type of boyfriend. I think Fred’s ascot says it all.

Wow, I’m off topic. The real question is why does this Dodge van exist in its current form? If it really is an FBI surveillance truck as the seller suggested and is proven by the array of listening devices and recorders in the back, wouldn’t it be more reprehensible? Or, at least disguised as something passersby wouldn’t want to snap a selfie when they “do it for Gram?”

The strange mix of games on the TV show is really something to think about, and the seller is not helpful in explaining because they only give a single description in the ad:

1988 Dodge Ram Van is 8 km long. FBI surveillance mystery machine.

It’s being sold by what looks like a small dealer and advertisement that gives us the least mileage – 8K – and the fact that it comes with a clear title. However, exactly why it is so remains unanswered. There’s also no explanation as to why there’s a pair of BMW baskets in the back of the truck.

We may collect some useful information from the images. Included in it was a copy of an older title indicating the owner at the time was the Hudson, Massachusetts Police Department. We were also able to see the car from all angles and those photos show it to be in pretty good shape with matching chrome and trim, and pretty accurate on the Mystery Machine aesthetic.

The cabin looks quite luxurious with reasonable vinyl upholstery underneath the Scooby Doo seats and rubber floors up front. The back is closed and carpeted throughout. The director’s seat faces a dashboard with lots of electronics and there’s an extra bench above the right wheel arches and — holy crap — a rear-left side-plug.

Power comes from a 5.2-liter V8 that produces 170 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The main engine entrance is located under the doghouse in the cabin. A three-speed automatic transmission comes with the engine and drives the rear wheels. No word on the mechanics’ condition, but come on, they’ve only done 8,000 miles.

So this van is a bit of a mystery, wrapped in a question and painted to look like the Mystery Machine. How much should that be worth? The dealer seems to think it’s worth $19,995 and now it’s up to you to solve the mystery of whether it’s a correct shot.

What do you think, could this surveillance truck be worth $19,995? Or, are you simply not seeing, hearing, or being intercepted over a phone line where eavesdropping is going on?
