Asus Zenfone 10: what we want to see

Asus Zenfone 10 could be one of those best phone in 2023, but the company will need to learn from its failures Asus Zenfone 9″In many ways, this is one of the most disappointing phones of 2022.
It earned 3.5 stars in our review, which isn’t bad at all, but it’s a huge drop from the 4.5 stars we received. Asus Zenfone 8″ achieved last year. However, these phones have a lot of potential, so we’re cautiously optimistic about the next model.
It might take a while though, and we still haven’t really heard anything about the Asus Zenfone 10. However, when we do, we’ll add any leaks, news and rumors on this article. But in the meantime, you’ll find our release dates and price predictions, along with wish lists of the ones we want to see.
Cut chasing
- What is it? The next model in the Zenfone series
- When it’s out? Probably around July 2023
- How much it costs? It is likely to have a higher mid-range price tag
Asus Zenfone 10: release date and price
There is no news on when the Asus Zenfone 10 might release but it probably won’t be long, as the Zenfone 9 only lands in July 2022. However, the company is not entirely consistent with the launches of the Asus Zenfone 10. it, because Zenfone 8 came out in May of the year of release and Zenfone 7 in August of that year.
So we can’t say for sure when the Asus Zenfone 10 will be announced, but we’re guessing around the middle of 2023.
We also can’t say how much it will cost, but for reference, the Zenfone 9 starts at $699 / £699 (about AU$1,210), so the price of the Zenfone 10 could be similar.
Asus Zenfone 10: news and leaks
While we haven’t heard anything about the Asus Zenfone 10 yet, we do know that one or more Asus phones will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2so Zenfone 10 will most likely be among them, especially since Zenfone 9 is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1.
Gen 2 will be the flagship Snapdragon chipset of 2023 (unless and until the Plus version rolls out) and it’s likely to be the best chipset to be found in any Android phone in at least first half of this year.
What we want to see
The Asus Zenfone 9 has a lot of room for improvement, so the following are what we’d most like to see from theZenfone 10.
1. More cameras
The Asus Zenfone 9 has only two rear cameras, which isn’t much by Android phone standards. So for the Zenfone 10, we’d like to see at least a third added – namely the telephoto lens.
It would be nice if Asus could improve the shutter speed, as in our Zenfone 9 review we found that the phone often takes a while to actually take a picture, which can result in a photo blurred.
2. Lower price
The Asus Zenfone 9 has a higher mid-range price tag, but it’s on the high end, only slightly below similar products. SamsungGalaxy S22 and iPhone 14″. It is also more expensive than Google Pixel 7and the specifications and features provided cannot justify it.
So for the Asus Zenfone 10, we’d like to see a significant price drop or improvement in the phone itself.
3. A small screen
The Zenfone 9 has a compact 5.9-inch display, and we wish the Asus Zenfone 10 had a similarly small display. So we’re not asking for a change here – we’d love that aspect to stay the same.
There aren’t many compact phones these days, and especially not those with fairly high specs like the Zenfone 9, so we’d love to see that continue with the Zenfone 10, as there will certainly be an audience for them, even if it’s a niche.
4. Glass back
Despite its hefty price tag, the Zenfone 9 has a plastic back, which is more of what we’d expect from a budget phone, despite Samsung’s efforts to make it acceptable in the segment. premium track.
So hopefully the Asus Zenfone 10 will have a glass back. We can’t imagine that it would add a huge amount of cost, and it would make the phone look and feel significantly more worthy than its possibly higher mid-range price tag.
5. Bigger battery
The Zenfone 9 packs a rather small 4,300mAh battery, and while that seems reasonable given that it also has a rather small display, it’s worth noting that Sony Xperia 5IV only slightly larger, but still able to fit a 5,000mAh battery.
Despite that, the Zenfone 9 doesn’t have great battery life, so it clearly needs a bigger battery pack or some optimization and we’d love to see improved battery life for the Asus Zenfone 10. If true like that, then that might end up being one of the best small phone.
