Jaipur:
Minister Ashok Gehlot threw a microphone to the ground, apparently furious after the public address system malfunctioned during a public event. A purported video of the incident has surfaced on social media.
The incident happened at Barmer Circuit House on Friday night when the premier was interacting with a group of women to gather feedback on various government plans for them.
When the minister tried to address the group, the microphone malfunctioned and seemed so angry he threw it away. Later, the Barmer County Collector picked up the microphone.
The minister lost his temper again when he saw some people behind the group of women, and asked them to leave.
“Where is the SP (police chief)? Both the SP and the collector seem to be the same,” he said.
Mr. Gehlot is on a two-day visit to Barmer. During the event, the women told the premier about the various benefits of the programs and thanked him for increasing bonuses for anganwadi workers.
