Corbin Bleu and Channing made a surprise appearance at Camp Shallow Lake in the middle of the night. They wake Ricky, EJ, Carlos, and Jet out of the blue (and very loud) to announce that it’s time for the Color Wars. When Kourtney showed up at the cabin, she announced, “I’m calling it: Corbin Bleu has officially lost her mind.”
At The Barn, Maddox helps Gina prepare for Color War. They have a talk about their brothers, and Maddox begins to open up a little more with Gina. Gina is an extremely good soundboard for Maddox.
Suddenly, EJ comes in and wants to talk to Gina. He wants to start over. EJ revealed that he phoned to make sure the show was “perfect” so he wouldn’t be transferred to St. Louis. “Why don’t we talk about the future for a moment? Let’s make today great,” Gina told EJ They put on makeup and shared a sweet kiss.
Ricky Tries To Undo FootageGate
Before the Color War got underway, Ricky went to Corbin and begged him to remove the “embarrassing” footage of him. Corbin refused. “Unless you compliment Nickelodeon. It’s happening in the document,” Corbin explained. Ricky doesn’t fight too much about FootageGate. That’s all I’m saying.
Each camper must take part in several challenges in the War of Colors. Ricky, Ashlyn, Gina are on EJ’s team. Maddox’s team consists of Kourtney, Carlos and Jet. “I hope you know. I am terrible. I fight dirty, and I’ll cheat,” Kourtney insisted. The winning team will get their phone back.
Val has a letter to Ashlyn from Big Red. Ashlyn still has the edge when she’s near Val. Val thinks Ashlyn “may be making up for something.” She calls Ashlyn a “beautiful puzzle,” and Ashlyn admits it’s the best thing anyone has ever said to her.
Jet talks to Ricky about the Maddox situation. He admitted that he thought the Maddox texts he showed his parents were from a guy. Jet thinks Maddox is dating and he’s not. Ricky doesn’t judge Jet for any of his past actions. He just listens and gives advice.
Miss Jenn to Camp Shallow Lake
EJ’s secret call brings Ms. Jenn to Camp Shallow Lake. She is ready to teach him everything in Jennifer’s Guide to Children in the Modern Era. She follows the rules. When she mentioned having an assistant and EJ talking to Carlos, Ms. Jenn snapped, “Don’t use Carlos. Carlos is my mother’s.”
Meanwhile, Gina and Ricky are gearing up for the Color Wars challenges. Gina asks Corbin for help on court. In the end, she was hit in the head by a basketball and lost consciousness. This led to some epic music from Corbin and Gina that helped bring Gina into the game.
Carlos slapped Gina awake and told her she was “singing mumbling”. Her dream music with Corbin works because the Blue Team won the challenge. Gina immediately hugged Ricky after her big win for the Blue Team. (Yes, I caught that.)
After a game of Dewey Says, it goes to the climbing wall. EJ accidentally revealed that Ms. Jenn was at Camp Shallow Lake. They all have a glorious reunion. Miss Jenn finally gave Ashlyn the words she had been waiting to hear. “A musical is a beautiful body, and the orchestra is its solid backbone,” Ms. Jenn said. She is the best.
Kourtney and Gina had to try to climb the wall first. Kourtney has a terrible fear of heights. Val tries to push Kourtney up the wall, but that doesn’t happen. Miss Jenn cut just in time. Kourtney will climb the wall when she’s ready. Before leaving, Ms. Jen told EJ that he had everything he needed to lead.
The war of colors has been bound. Val selects “Enabled” from Camp Rock 2 like the final battle. Jet really showed off his performance skills, helping Team Gold win the War of Colors. Jet tries to make small talk with Maddox. That is a step in the right direction. Maddox admits to Ricky that she’s still worried about getting hurt again. She didn’t want to let her guard down.
Ashlyn finds out about Val
Gina asks Ricky for help, but that’s definitely not what he has in mind. Gina plans a date for EJ with Ricky’s help. Ricky’s longing to look at Gina comes into play in this scene. “You are the best,” Gina told Ricky. Oh, my heart loves Rina…
During their date, Gina goes to say the Hail Mary. She asks him to be her date to Camp Prom. EJ had to release the news that there were no days allowed at Camp Prom. He mentioned that there will probably be fireworks at the end of the Color Wars. Nothing happened, it could be a hint about their relationship.
Ashlyn apologizes to Val for scolding her. She doesn’t know why she acts this way. Val gives her a sweet hug, and the fireworks finally explode. “Oh, that’s why,” Ashlyn said, confirming that she had feelings for Val.
Jet finds Ricky crying in his bed. Ricky’s dad gave him a moonrock for his birthday, which will help Ricky tick something else off his bucket list. “I can’t believe I let Color War slip through my fingers,” said Ricky, who doesn’t talk about Color War at all. Jet replied, “You mean Gina?”
The topic of Camp Prom came up, and Ricky wasn’t expecting it. Jet mentioned that Maddox and Madison broke up at Camp Prom last year. Ricky suddenly got up from his bed. “You just gave me a big idea,” Ricky said.
