Arizona’s Kari Lake has denounced election fraud
This year, Lake also pushed conspiracy theories about mail-in voting and early voting, request an in-person voting day. Her support for early and mail-in voting on the eve of the election mirrors previous failures President Donald Trumpwho also realized that without early and mail-in voting, he had no chance of winning.
Lake may have changed her mind about the authenticity of mail-in ballots, but she still believes it The election will be stolen. The only solution? “We’re going to make it too big to rig,” Lake told her supporters.
During his campaign for the Senate, Lake was many times rejected to answer a simple question: Is she willing to accept the election results?
Vote suggested that Lake may be facing another loss, and based on her comments throughout the campaign, it is unlikely that Lake, who will still does not admit she lost in 2022will be willing to acknowledge graciously.
Lake eventually challenged her to court and lost again. Undaunted, Lake continued to curry favor with Trump and MAGA, and was even considered a potential vice presidential candidate.
Now, Lake claims it would be foolish to commit to accepting the election results without knowing what those results are.
Many of her supporters who spoke to WIRED on Monday night agreed with Lake, believing there was fraud in the election.
“I don’t think we should accept anything until we know that the election is an honest election. We know the last one was rigged and the 2020 one was rigged,” Sandy, a Lake supporter from Prescott Valley, told WIRED.
But there were also some supporters calling on their candidate to do the right thing and concede if defeated.
“We have no choice, we have to accept the results,” said Rick Starmer, from Chino Valley in Yavapai County.
