Apple, Google, AmazonSamsung and other companies are gearing up for a busy fall with lots of new device launches.

It is like a clock hand. Big tech companies launch the latest products, like phones, watches or even robot and flying security dronesstarting in August and lasting until the end of November, in preparation for the holiday shopping rush.

Samsung will kick off next week, on August 10, when it announces a new folding phone, giving consumers an opportunity to woo consumers before Apple holds its iPhone event in September. New products at the seasonal event. Apple’s revenue has a direct effect on the company’s balance sheet. The holiday quarter is usually Apple’s biggest quarter. It reported record sales last year such as for the three months ending December 25.

Meanwhile, Google has promised to launch the next phone with a brand new chip and its first Apple Watch competitor, this fall. And let’s not forget Amazon: It often announces new Echos, Fire TV products, and sometimes rolls out a few surprises, like last year’s Robot Astro, at an event held sometime between September and November.

There are many, so here is a summary of what to expect.

Here’s what to expect: Samsung will launch the next generation of its foldable smartphone – the The teasers confirmed that – includes Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4.

Customers can already pre-order one of these new smartphones, although they are yet to be published. Some of the main complaints surrounding the foldable phone are the price of the higher-end Galaxy Z Fold model and the obvious seams that interrupt the phone’s display. Any price reductions or upgrades to make the crease less obvious will be noticeable. Samsung often announces new headphones, tablets, and smartwatches to compete with Apple’s iPad, AirPods, and Apple Watch.

Here’s what it came out with last August: Last year, Samsung revealed Galaxy Z Fold 3, priced at $1,799, and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 for $1,000. It also announced the Galaxy Buds 2 and Galaxy Watch 4 earphones.

Here’s what to expect:

According to Apple’s report, Apple is planning 4 iPhone 14 models this year, according to Bloombergsaid we can expect new features like always show on higher-end Pro models. The same report says Apple may ditch the 5.4-inch iPhone mini and instead launch a more affordable large-screen iPhone with a 6.7-inch screen. That suggests Apple will launch iPhone 14, iPhone 14 with larger screen, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

According to Bloomberg, Apple is also set to announce three new Apple Watch variants, including a new entry-level SE model, a standard Series 8, and a version definitely geared toward extreme sports, according to Bloomberg. AirPods Pro headphones are about to be updated and still available Talk about Apple’s first mixed reality headsetbut they can also come later.

However, Apple’s mixed reality headset will mark the company’s first major product launch since it unveiled the Apple Watch in 2015. The headset will combine elements of virtual reality and augmented reality, which allows users to place digital content above the real world, according to Bloomberg. Apple has been working hard on VR content, thanks to Jon Favreau developing video content for its headset, The New York Times said in June.

What it launched last September: Last year at it product drop event Apple has announced new iPad and iPad mini, Apple Watch Series 7, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Google

Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro

Google

While Google doesn’t make a lot of revenue from its hardware business, it will launch its first smartwatch and the Google Pixel 7 as it continues to try to build momentum in the hardware market.

Here’s what to expect: Google has been announcing gadgets in October for years. Back in May at its I/O event, Google teases what’s on deck. Its latest phone, the Pixel 7 will feature a second-generation Tensor processor and a glass design with a new aluminum camera bar. A larger Pixel 7 Pro model will ship with a triple-lens camera. But we don’t know much about other new features about the phone, like the price or capabilities of the new cameras and chips, so expect to hear all about that.

Google also introduced the Pixel Watch, the company’s first smartwatch, which will launch this fall. In a tweet on May 11, Google said the watch “has the best features of Google, along with the health and fitness experience of Fitbit.” So expect some kind of software link that offers new health and fitness features.

We may see updates for at least one Google Nest product. A recent FCC filing from Google described a product it’s working on as a “wireless device,” with ports similar to current Nest devices, follow 9to5Google. It hasn’t announced a new Nest thermostat or speaker since 2020, so they may already be on the deck.

What it launched last year: Last August, Google announced the new Nest camera and doorbell. Then, in October, Google revealed all the details about Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphone. Those were the first smartphones to run on Google’s Tensor chip instead of Qualcomm’s.

Amazon

Amazon Echo Show 15

Amazon

Here’s what to expect: Amazon has a history of holding its hardware event in the fall, when it announced a host of gadgets, from new Echos (like last year’s Echo Show 15, pictured above) to Alexa-integrated glasses and more.

The fourth-generation Echo speaker launches in October 2020, so it’s time for an update unless Amazon continues to experiment with new form factors. Likewise, Amazon usually announces updates for its Fire TV products in the fall.

For the past two years, Amazon’s Ring has teased Ring Always Home Cam, a drone camera for home security. It’s not out yet, so maybe we’ll find out when it will hit the market.

Here’s what it came out with last year: Amazon had a few surprises in store last year, so this year is likely to be just as exciting. Amazon launched Astro house robot, is still only available by invitees only. It also announced its first smart thermostat, the first Amazon-branded TV setsEcho Show 15 and a new Halo View fitness tracker.

Facebook

Oculus

Here’s what to expect: Meta, formerly Facebook, may have a new virtual reality headset on board.

Bloomberg said in July that Meta is preparing to announce the Meta Quest Pro virtual reality suite later this year. It is said to cost more than $1,000 and will feature a better display, improved camera, and improved graphics support.

Meta Quest 2 headphones are currently the most popular on the market. As other players join the race to grow the so-called “metaverse”, Facebook’s parent company will need to continue to improve its hardware to stay on top. And it may want to achieve something that is ahead of whatever Apple is planning.

Here’s what it came out with last year: Last September Facebook announced its update Video calling device gateway. It hasn’t released a new version of its Oculus device since September 2020.
