Apple extends self-service repair to M1 Mac desktops, Studio Display

Apple has added support for Mac desktops and Studio Display to its Self-Service Repair Service program in the United States. The self-service repair service, launched last year for certain iPhone models and expanded to include MacBook laptop models powered by the M1 chip, provides users with genuine service parts along with repair manuals and tools to help users repair their devices at home. The service will now also be available on Mac desktops running on the M1 chip.
Corporate Self-Service Program based in Cupertino, California website was discovered to include genuine Apple parts, tools, and manuals for iMac (M1, 2021), M1 Mac mini, M1 Ultra Mac Studio — running on the M1 chip. Meanwhile, Studio Display has also been included in the list of supported devices.
The Apple Self Service program, which originally launched in the United States, was recently expanded to offer service in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. Apple made the expansion notification via an official editorial blog post on December 6.
However, support for the iMac (M1, 2021), M1 Mac mini, M1 Ultra Mac Studio and Studio Display, which was introduced recently, is currently limited to the US. This means that genuine parts and tools will not be shipped outside of the US.
