App State HC Shawn Clark emotional over upset win over Texas A&M

Last weekend, Appalachian State brought us one of the best games of the week. This week, they gave us one of the biggest shuffles.

The Appalachian State disturbed Texas A&M 17-14 at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas on Saturday. The victory comes a week after the climbing team narrowly beat North Carolina in a thrilling 63-61 defeat.

Midfielder Chase Brice threw 135 yards and touched the ball, while Cameron Pe people ran 112 yards.

Shawn Clark, who is in his third full season as head coach of Appalachian State, was incredibly emotional in his post-match interview.

“We went to College Station and beat the 6th team in the country. How great is that? The 47-year-old head coach said on ESPN after the win.

“I wish my wife and kids were here. My young son, Braxton. Unbelievable.

“I love this show. This makes sense to me.”
