Apex Legends Season 15 will introduce the second largest Broken Moon map ever
Part 15 of Apex Legends was gliding towards us at terrifying speed. When it lands at the end of the month, it will bring with it the new Legends, like every new Season – but more importantly, Apex Legends: Eclipse will introduce the fifth Apex map, a large and beautiful multi-creature arena. called Broken Moon.
Players can get an in-game preview at the new map via a limited-time Gold Ticket – craftable items at Replicators, which can be used outside of matches to unlock the trailer.” A New Home”. This brief trailer lets you travel through a limited area of Broken Moon and ride on the map’s coolest new feature – ziprails.
Ziprails work like regular ziplines from other maps, but they allow you to travel at a much higher speed along predefined routes on the map. One of the other major differences between Broken Moon and previous maps is that there are one or two main POIs (points of interest) the size of two or even three commonly named locations, giving Play more loot and space in the early game without dogpiling each other in the first few minutes. But thanks to ziprails, you can travel through these larger areas at very high speeds. The developers hope that this new movement system will give players new opportunities to reposition and rotate during each match.
Broken Moon will be the second largest map to date in Apex Legends – only slightly larger than World’s Edge. Lead designer Jeff Shaw explained that they feel the scale of the biggest map, Storm Point, is causing some lull in the mid-game (I can definitely confirm this), as so they want to go back to the dimensions that they know works with Broken Moon.
Upon release, Broken Moon will have 16 POIs, some of which are really huge. Set on a giant piece of floating lunar crust, the landscape’s topography was only partially completed by the time Apex Games started rolling out, meaning there’s a lot of biome diversity. objects and environments that you will find in the map. Some areas will have a much more barren and rocky feel (as you’d expect from a moon), while others will feature high-tech Olympus-esque structures and areas. lush garden. The moon orbits Boreas, the former home of both the Catalyst and the Seer, and a place brimming with African-inspired culture. A lot of these cultures have clearly made their way into the Broken Moon, in the architectures and gardens that dot the more developed areas of the map.
When Apex Legends: Eclipse drops, the first ranked split will feature Broken Moon and the normal mode will cycle between Broken Moon, Olympus and World’s Edge as the three maps are offered. Alongside the new map, Season 15 will also bring the brand new Cybernetic-themed Battle Pass, brand new additions of skins for friends, and customizing your healing items with stickers. which you’ll see when you heal in every game, and – of course – Brand new Legend, Catalyst, a technocratic wizard who seems to have some serious ties to fellow Legend Seer. We’d love to hear more Catalyst news, but until then, you can bolster your knowledge of existing Legends with List of character levels in Apex Legends. Season 15 releases on Tuesday, November 1, so it’s best to read on to prepare.
