The AOC has announced her plans to ditch Tesla, weeks after Elon Musk asked her to stop flirting with him on Twitter.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, 32, a supporter of the Green New Deal, told Bloomberg in an interview on Wednesday that she wants to switch to an electronic car made domestically by union workers.
For now, the only vehicles she can consider are Ford’s massive F-150 Lightning truck, due later this year, or a Chevy Bolt.
The Democrat told the network she bought her Model 3 in 2020 around the time Covid-19 started.
The AOC says it’s the only tram that can get her from her Bronx-Queens borough to the nation’s capital for ‘one or a half fee’.

The AOC claimed it was because she wanted to support a manufacturer with a unified production line, but her timing raised questions.

The Washington Free Beacon reported that a $35,000 Tesla with a New York license plate and a congressional parking pass was photographed in a no-parking area near AOC’s luxury apartment on May 14, 2021.

On the other side of the aisle, Republican Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky owns a modified Tesla with the number plate ‘Friends of Coal’.
He told Bloomberg: ‘This isn’t a car company, it’s a battery company. The car is just their first killer app. ‘
