Android finally lets you clear your recent Google search history
You no longer have to manually omit your Google apps search history if you are an Android user. Google confirmed arrive The Verge that it is implementing the option to delete last 15 minutes search history in its namesake Android app. Tap your profile icon and you’ll see “delete last 15 minutes” if the feature is available.
According to Google representative Ned Adriance, the option will be available to everyone within “the next few weeks”. Esper Mishaal Rahman and the first Twitter user Pan Du found that control history last week.
This has been going on for a long time to come, to put it mildly. Google first announced the 15-minute feature at I/O 2021 and made it available to iOS users for the first time in July of that year. Android users are expected to receive the update later that year. It’s not certain what led to the delay. However, you will probably appreciate this addition if you need to quickly hide a gift shopping expedition or (ahem) adventurous searches.
