While Andretti Autosport is best known for its exploits in the NTT IndyCar . Andretti Global, parent company of Andretti Autosport, today announced its intention to build a new 575,000 square foot facility to house the organization’s global headquarters. Nearly one-tenth of the cost of building the headquarters can be reimbursed with tax credits.

Andretti Global has selected a 90-acre property in Fishers, Indiana to house its future $200 million headquarters. Fishers is located about 19 miles northeast of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Facility costs will likely be partially supported by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC). Andretti Autosport may receive a conditional tax credit of up to $19 million pending approval from the IEDC board of directors. The project will break ground later this year and is expected to be operational in 2025.

Indiana Governor Eric J. Holcomb said in a statement:

Andretti Autosport has announced the new headquarters will serve as an operating base for the IndyCar, Indy Lights and IMSA programs. The organization also says that it will also serve as the basis for “other racing initiatives in the future”. It’s not a secret that Michael Andretti has ambition in Formula 1. With Andretti’s Formula 1 goals in mind, the image of the headquarters with its man-made water feature is very similar to that of the McLaren Technology Centre.

Andretti’s new global headquarters will also feature an indoor lecture hall, a museum and an innovation hub. One year after opening, the facility is expected to add 500 jobs to the Fishers, Indiana community. In addition to the multi-million dollar tax credits, the project received additional unspecified incentives from the City of Fishers.
