The infamous H20i car show known for lots of crashing and tuning cars and a small group of drivers who unfortunately don’t care too much about public safety. This year this “non-working auto show” has ended in my corner of the Jersey Shore and The result was the death of two people.

I didn’t know the infamous auto show was headed to Wildwood, New Jersey, because as a 41-year-old father, I totally fall into the “too old for this shit” camp. But I thought something was odd when I walked out to the grocery store on Friday and discovered not one but three heavily modified cars.

I can’t remember the last time I encountered a real car modified in the wild. BILLIONWhen I started reading reports on social media about an ‘inactive auto show’ coming up in town and locals said that the Garden State Parkway was starting to look like a scene from the movie ” Fast and Furious”.

I was getting ready for my son’s 10th birthday party on Saturday when reports began to appear in the local media about the aftermath of this “H20i” event. Among the fires that intersected and ran at high speed down residential coastal streets, there was an accident that left two people dead.

Based on NJ.com

Gerald J. White, 37, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was charged with multiple counts of auto-fatal death, vehicle assault and related counts for one of the crashes that damaged the town of Wildwood on Saturday night in a “pop-up” gathering known as H2oi, or H20i, or H2022.

White was at the wheel of a 2003 Infiniti that crashed into a 2014 Honda Civic, followed by two pedestrians at Burk Avenue and the Atlantic shortly after 9:30 p.m., authorities said. . A pedestrian, Lindsay Weakland, 18, of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and a Civic passenger, Timothy Ogden, 34, of Clayton, died of their injuries.

Man charged in connection with Wildwood car failure that left 2 dead, others injured

This is not the first time Mr.White has taken risks with cars. NJ.com further reports that White made several citations that resulted in thousands of dollars in fines filed through the New Jersey Courts. White is ticketed twice in 2020 for driving license suspension. White’s father told NJ Advanced Media that his son recently flipped over a Pontiac while traveling 80 mph on the highway.

The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office released a statement denounce the events of this weekend by saying, “Driving a motor vehicle at high speed in a densely populated area is essentially the same as shooting a gun. The result is the same, dead and wounded. Furthermore, the size and weight of a motor vehicle also leads to the destruction of public and private property”.

H20i events originated in Ocean City, Maryland, and was once considered a group of car enthusiasts who were annoyed by “man” for having cars that were too low, too loud, or both. This latest breakdown certainly doesn’t help.
