Inspired by Balvin’s documentary, The Boy from Medellin, the collection ties in with Guess DNA of graphics and fabrics while incorporating an emphasis Balvin goes beyond fame and his journey with mental health. The collection will be available May 12, 2022 online and at select Guess stores.
American fashion retailer, Guess, has teamed up with singer and fashion icon J Balvin again for the Guess Originals x J Balvin Amor collection. This collaboration is a revival of happiness and positivity, and offers a mix of vibrant and pastel colors in a variety of hues. Graphics like swirl stripes, hearts and clover are seen throughout the collection.
“We have been collaborating for a few years now. Chemistry is great. We have more than a business partnership, it’s a friendship – it’s like my family working with Nicolai and Guess. This latest collaboration is all about peace and love – that’s what we need right now,” J Balvin said in a release.

The men’s collection features a fresh take on Guess Originals branded pants with a comfortable fit and high twill, as well as a rayon eco-camp shirt paired with coordinated swim trunks. Core pieces like the denim trucker’s jacket and the carpenter’s pants have been enhanced with vibrant graphics that speak to the overall theme of the capsule. The women’s collection offers a wide range of easy-to-wear patterned shirts, swimwear and matching tops, and a variety of combinations. Synthetic items such as crochet tops and skirts, and brightly colored accessories accentuate the lines and showcase the vibrant, laid-back lifestyles of both Guess Originals and J Balvin.
This collection highlights the importance of mental health for all and includes a wide range of men’s and women’s apparel along with children’s styles.
