America has a battery factory — What about mines?

Major investments in electric vehicle battery production in the US continue to be made, most recently from Japan. Toyota on Wednesday said it would earn an extra $2.5 billion into a cell manufacturing facility it’s building near Liberty, NC, for about $1.3 billion committed last December. On Monday, Honda announced a Venture with South Korean battery giant LG Energy for an American cell factory, possibly in Ohio. Last week, The Wall Street Journal reported that Panasonic, TeslaLongtime battery supplier of, is in discussion to spend 4 billion dollars on a factory in Oklahoma.
