Amazon promises to fix Comixology after rendering service nearly unusable
Almost four months later into its other services, Amazon acknowledged that the platform had been abandoned. “We understand that existing experiences need improvement and want you to know that we are working hard to get those experiences out the door as quickly as possible,” the company said in season 11 Discovered .

In the coming weeks, Amazon is promising to address some of the prominent issues that have plagued the digital comics service since its integration with the Kindle app. For example, the upcoming beta version of Comixology’s web reader will return support for two-page spreads. Additionally, Amazon says it’s working to fix an issue with the store algorithm that causes the software to show results for fiction and non-fiction books when customers search for manga, manga, and graphic novels.
Amazon notes that some of the enhancements are coming soon, but others don’t have a release date yet. “We’ll let you know when this launches,” the company says of a feature that allows people to filter their comics in the Kindle app. “We know there is still a lot of work to be done to improve the Comixology experience, and we have many more initiatives that we will be sharing soon,” the company said.
For fans, Amazon’s treatment of Comixology is special since the previous version of the app is usable and includes many of the features the company is currently working on adding. Unfortunately, they can’t use that software anymore because it’s already as soon as it completes the Kindle integration. Worse still, Comixology is the only digital service you can currently use to buy comics from various publishers.
