Amazon.com Inc will freeze hiring in the company’s workforce as the e-commerce giant deals with an “unusual macroeconomic environment,” a company executive has said. on Thursday.
Beth Galetti, senior vice president of People Experience, and will continue to monitor what we’re seeing in the economy and business to adjust as we think makes sense. Technology at Amazon, said in a blog post.
Galetti added that the company has paused hiring in some of its businesses in recent weeks, but plans to hire a “meaningful” number of people next year.
