Amazon-backed Anthropic launches chatbot Claude AI for Android users

Amazon-backed AI company Anthropic recently introduced a iOS Application for Claude AI chatbot and has now announced that the app is available for Android users. The company announced this new launch on X, in a post. However, they did not clarify whether it is launching in certain regions or globally.

Basic features available for free

The Claude AI app for Android users is available for free download on Google Play Store. The app’s interface is similar to the website. The app is powered by the Claude 3.5 Sonnet language model released by Anthropic last month.

Users can access the app by signing up via email or registering an account using their mobile number. The basic features of the app are provided to users for free. This includes access to the computer vision feature powered by Claude 3.5 Sonnet. Users can explore this feature by giving the app access to their camera and gallery. Users can then select any image they want and the Al chatbot will display all the information related to that image.
