Every year, we are forced to say a painful goodbye. It happens for sure, a new series of TV shows get cancelled, some loved, others less. Some shows end without a proper ending to their stories, while others get a planned conclusion that won’t leave us hanging. Once upon a time, it was surprising to see streaming giant Netflix add shows to the list, but those days are over.
Now, Netflix cancels a long list of reality shows every year. While many of them didn’t make it past the first season or two, there were also long-running shows that ended because, well, TV shows simply couldn’t go on forever. After all, the kids in Stranger Things aren’t kids anymore. How much longer can Netflix realistically expect to see them running around Hawkins chasing monsters?
With that in mind, we’re looking at every show that Netflix canceled this year. Thankfully, we’re pleased that some of these shows are in full play (and they might not even technically end this year, depending on how the release schedule plays out). However, others are simply gone too soon. After you’ve gone through this list, be sure to check out our recap of every show canceled on the network and streaming scene this year.
