Alan Wake and Control could become movies or TV shows
Remedy Entertainment has in partnership with Annapurnawith the aim of being able to produce Alan Wakes Up And Control movies and television shows. In addition, Annapurna will co-fund the development of Control 2currently in production.
Although no specific announcement has been made Alan Wakes Up or Control movies or TV shows, the partnership announcement confirmed an interest in expanding the IP into other mediums. Additionally, Annapurna will help fund and publish the next installment of Control. A sequel has been in the works for some time, though Remedy has yet to announce any specific details. The news comes after Epic Games CEO Hector Sanchez moved to Annapurna. Epic previously worked with Remedy on publishing Alan wakes up 2.
Annapurna is the ideal partner for Remedy to achieve both of their goals. While Control 2 will be self-published by Remedy, with additional funding and support likely coming from its Annapurna Interactive division. The publisher is best known for releasing projects like Astray, What Remains of Edith Finch And The Wilderness Outside. Most recently they released Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, Piano And Open road. Meanwhile, Alan Wakes Up And Control Films and television shows will likely be produced by Annapurna Pictures, the film production arm of the company. Nimona, She And Zero Dark Thirty.
Remedy is working on a number of projects including Control 2They are also working with Rockstar to remake the first two parts. Max Payne game, along with a cooperative multiplayer game called Vulture. The second DLC expansion for Alan wakes up 2 also on the way, after release DLC Night Stream in June 2024.
Control And Alan wakes up 2 have been released and movies and TV shows of both are in the works. Control available for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, while Alan wakes up 2 Available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
