Air-fried Chickpeas – a beautiful dish

This is an easy and healthy snack that you can throw together with very few ingredients. And they only take about 20 minutes to make in total, including prep time! I love them!

I did a little test recently. I would like to know if you can air-fry chickpeas without oil, and if so, are they as crispy as when I air-fry with some oil? Here’s what I found:

If you want the chickpeas crunchy and crunchy, brush them in a little oil before air-frying (see recipe card below for measurements).

That said, you can completely air-fry chickpeas without oil. They are still very tasty, but not quite crispy.

I like to season some fried chickpeas in the air Lawry’s seasoned with salt, garlic powder and cayenne pepper. If I have some fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme, I also add a few teaspoons chopped.

However, you can season these in lesser amounts, such as just salt and pepper, or try any combination of other things.

Air-fried chickpeas taste a bit fatty, or like tahini. If you like the taste of hummus, you’ll likely love this air-fried chickpeas.
