Afterlife game ‘Spiritfarer’ is coming to mobile via Netflix

You’ll have to subscribe to Netflix if you want to stream Award nominations Spiritfarer on your phone. The streaming service has announced that the death management game will be available on mobile through its platform “soon”. It’s unclear what (if anything) will change in this release, although it’s safe to assume you’ll find touch-optimized controls.

Spiritfarer revolves around Stella, a ferryman who befriends the dead and transports them to the afterlife. Of course, you’ll need to build a boat, but you’ll also craft items and harvest materials to help you explore the landscape and care for the dead. Think of it as Stardew Valley or Terraria with one message – it’s like developing a healthy attitude towards death is like honing your resource management skills.

This launch joins other popular Netflix games such as ustwo’s Desta and a variety of program-related titles. The company is determined to become a home for loved ones (if not always new) game, and Spiritfarer can make a balance if you’re a fan who wants to play on mobile or a newbie curious about all the buzz.
