After stir, Haryana junks on Rs 10 lakh a year MBBS bond plan | India News

CHANDIGARH: Haryana government partially reduced on Wednesday on bond fees payable to students admitted to government-run medical colleges in the state, with CM Manohar Lal Khattar speech MBBS students do not need to pay bond amount of Rs 10 lakh per year. The partial escalation came in the face of protests from more than a thousand students from four government medical colleges in the state.
Currently, according to Khattar, if after completing his degree, an MBBS/MD student wants to enter state government service and serve for seven specific years, the state government will fund the bond amount. . But the return has a driver: Those who don’t want to join government service will have to pay the amount themselves, CM said.
Reacting to this, Pankaj Bittuone student, said they would not suspend the protest and would boycott the consultation until receiving notice of the amendment.
“There are some aspects that are not clear. The state government’s new policy denied educational rights to meritorious students who passed NEET but whose parents couldn’t afford the hefty bond fee,” Akshitasecond year MBBS student.
“There is no guarantee of a government job after completing the course. Then why would a student have to take out a big loan,” said Bittu.
Khattar also said bachelor’s degrees from students who do not join a government hospital will only be granted after applicants have met all financial obligations.
