After Black Adam, even Pierce Brosnan was uncertain about the future of Dr.
Now, chances are it’s your turn to Dwayne Johnson Black Adam on the big screen, opening a new corner of the DC cinematic universe – and The return of the most famous superhero in the world for the first time since Justice League. However, there is much more to discuss about the Blck Adam movie. For example, what will happen to Dr. Fate (Pierce Brosnan), after finally appearing on the big screen?
Warning: The following contains spoilers for Black Adam. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, check it out and come back.
Of course, during the climactic battle, Dr. Fate sacrificed himself, saving Hawkman (Aldis Hodge) from dying as Fate had previously seen happen in the future. However, is he really dead? According to Brosnan, he himself had the same question. “We don’t know,” he admitted. “I said the same thing when I read the script, but who knows? It’s all a mystery.”
While it will likely remain a mystery for some time to come, this is not the first time a death has not appeared in a comic book movie. Even Superman died in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – and he’s not even a wizard. Meanwhile, “[Fate] is the greatest wizard ever to appear in the comic book world,” Brosnan said.
Whatever the case, the actor is extremely grateful for his participation in Black Adam, adding, “This is definitely the most beautiful movie I’ve been in in a long time. It really is. . The close friendship and affection of all the actors and the hard work that I see every day makes me sleepy.”
What’s interesting, however, is that there is a different version of the film at one point, at least in terms of the script. According to Hodge, there is a version of Black Adam that spends more time developing the relationship between Hawkman and Dr. Fate.
“It’s about the merits of what it’s supposed to represent,” Hodge said. “Therefore [director Jaume Collet-Serra] really want to push that relationship on screen when they see you. “
As such, the final version of the film makes it all clear that Fate and Hawkman have a deeply intertwined past as two longtime members of the Justice Society. That said, why not give us a prequel to their team’s early days?
Black Adam is currently in theaters.
