After a month, Destiny 2 Hunter Exotic Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk has been fixed

For several weeks, the Void Hunter in Destiny 2 had to do without one of the best Exotics in the game for that particular subclass. Introduced in The season of lootingGyrfalcon’s Hauberk was quickly removed from the game due to an exploit that could allow some class skills to be used longer than intended when Exotic chest armor was equipped.

A fix was expected in mid-October according to Bungie’s estimates, but that date has been moved up and the Exotic shard can be used again. Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk’s main perks include bonus weapon damage for 5 seconds after being in stealth, while using the finisher will grant surrounding allies a shield and improve abilities recuperate.

The point here is that Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk can be used to give Titan allies to wear Loreley Splendor led heal further, making them nearly unstoppable. Hunters can go invisible, deliver quick finishing blows, and give Titans extra energy-class abilities they can exploit with their Exotic, derailing the balance of the Destiny 2 sandbox.

That issue was resolved in this week’s patch, along with several other tweaks, such as a helpful fix for Season of Plunder’s annoying weapon-making problem. In other news from Destiny 2’s technical department, a fix is also in progress for Bungie’s New Fraud Detection Software, which caused some incorrect bans in the game. The software will remain off until the bug is found, but existing anti-fraud measures will remain in effect.
