Via Chris Williams: Adrien Broner says Terence Crawford can forget all about trying to beat Errol Spence on July 29 because that’s not going to happen. Spence (28-0, 22 KOs) will draw Crawford into the fight whether he wants to or not, AB said.
Broner says WBO welterweight champion Crawford (39-0, 30 KOs) will have to FIGHT if he wants to win this contest because he won’t be running around jabbing, thinking he will get the decision in a safe fist battle.
Crawford looked a bit sluggish in the final game against David Avanesyan and his work rate was lower than before. Obviously, that’s the age to start coming in, as Crawford is almost 36 years old and he’s only hit 3 games since 2020.
Inactivity affects fighters who rely on speed, reflexes, and counterattacks to win battles more than boxers. When speed and reflexes increase, the game will be over.
147 lb IBF, WBA & WBC champion Spence will knock Crawford down like he did with Yordenis Ugas and Shawn Porter and slowly knock him down with heavy blows one after another.
Crawford has never been hit much in his fights, and I don’t know how he would react when he was punched by Spence for twelve rounds.
All the switch-on trash Crawford does will make no difference in this fight against southern Spence. Crawford would be better off staying south and not wasting energy switching back and forth all night, hoping Spence would get flustered.

I’m staying with my brother Errol,” Adrien Broner told fight about the fight between Errol Spence Jr and Terence Crawford.

Adrien, 34, will return this month on June 9 against Bill Hutchinson at Casino Miami Jai Alai, Miami. Broner hasn’t fought since 2021 and who knows what he has left in his tank after the most recent outage.
AB cut his beard, lost a lot of weight and looked many years younger. However, it remains to be seen whether Broner can turn back the clock to become the boxer he returned to in 2011 and 2012.
If Broner can figure out how to lose enough weight to fight in the super featherweight division while still retaining his strength, he will be a threat.
