Adrien Broner fights at 144th to return on February 18th on BLK Prime

Via Allan Fox: Adrien ‘The Problem’ Broner will fight at welterweight for his two-year comeback on February 18 on BLK Prime.

Broner (34-4-1, 24 KOs) wants to fight 144th or 145th in the first match after a long 24-month break in February and then challenge WBC lightweight champion Regis Prograis for his newly won harness.

AB is currently on weight loss as of February 2021, so he’s taking his time.

BLK Prime is on a re-salvaging expedition, signing 33-year-old Broner to a three-figure, 12-month, eight-figure deal.

Broner will make over $10 million, which sounds like a lot of money, but it’s just a fraction of what AB could make if he wins all three games against BLK Prime over the next 12 months.

Adrien’s last game against Jovanie Santiago, and he looked unimpressed. To beat Prograis and some other talented boxers in 140th place, Broner will need to do better than he showed against Santiago.

“I think it could happen on BLK Prime,” Adrien Broner told Blueblood Sports TV about his belief that Errol Spence Jr versus Terence Crawford will take place next year on BLK Prime.

“Back then, I would probably fight in my favorite weight class of 144, 145, or something like that. Then I’ll go get the 140 belt from Regis.

“Of course, I will be there for my steady friend from BLK Prime,” Broner said of his plans to attend the Terence Crawford vs David Avanesyan match on December 10 at CHI Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

“He’s going to do his job, and I have an important announcement to make,” Broner said of his February 18 match on BLK Prime.

“I think he’s number one on the pound,” Broner said of Crawford. “#2 is Errol, and #3 is Tank [Davis]. The rest is not important. Of course, Tyson Fury.

“Difficult, one kid has so many talents. He’s a lot of the kryptonite of this fighter,” Broner said of Jaron ‘Boot’s Ennis. “He is moving on a great path. I think he will be world champion soon.

He will f** ka a lot of guys. He can punch with both hands. He has a great IQ. He’s fast, and he’s strong.

“I think Devin will annoy Lomachenko with his stabs, feints and boxing. I think Devin will use his reach, stay outside and box and let Lomachenko rush in on shots.

“I don’t think that’s going to happen,” Broner said of the fight between Spence and Keith Thurman. “I know they will try to push it down [Spence’s] throat. Errol said it already. He will never fight Keith Thurman.

“Now they’re trying to force him to fight Keith Thurman, and I don’t think Errol is going to do that. I think he will be adamant about not fighting Keith Thurman because when Errol wanted to fight Keith when Keith was the champion, Keith didn’t fight him.

“Errol is still angry about that. ‘I would never fight Keith Thurman. It was still a big fight, but when Errol wanted to fight him, they didn’t fight him. However, I think what they will do is try to bribe him with more money.

“Stay fit, stay healthy. If I can talk to myself younger. Living your life and having fun is not a bad thing, but at some point, it’s important that you have to. cut that out and get back to work.

“You can enjoy the fruits of your labor, but don’t forget what made you this star or this money and what brought you all this fame and fortune,” said Broner. .
