Admire the value of (condensed) historical study in Blackhaven
While I try to recommend things that you can’t simply try for yourself, I’d like to make an exception here because the spirit of this column is to report back on the good stuff, and whether it’s free or not, Blackhaven is a very good thing.
It’s about starting a job in a museum and archive based on a former tobacco plantation, and run by its owner’s extremely wealthy descendants. It’s not about the wonderful people they used to be. It doesn’t sound like traumatic porn, but obviously I can only speak as a clumsy white person from another country.
What it’s definitely good at is it represents real historical research and who can write history that’s right for them.
