Adios Charlie Firster Too Fast for Debutante Foes

Stone Silent, buy $410,000 worth of OBSMAR fast : 20 2/5 boasted, beating five competitors in a stellar debut performance at the Fasig-Tipton Debutante S. in Santa Anita on Saturday. Second pick 3-1 went through the opening half at: 22.08, kicked the home team completely and never looked back as the Kentucky Juvenile S. winner and bought back $390,000 from Tom’s Regret’s Fasig-Tipton digital resale closed the gap.

“First, I want to thank the trainer and owner for the opportunity,” said winning pilot Ramon Vazquez. “I worked for her three times in the morning, and I knew she was a nice person. She broke well and had a good position and she reacted very well. ”

When asked if he expected to take the lead, Vazquez said, “I’m not surprised because she’s a first-timer and nobody knows she can run.”

Coach John Sadler added, “I think some of the commentators recognized the fact that she worked: 20 2/5 in the sale, so she was very quick. We hope that she makes it through and can run soon because I know she has a very fast pace. Ramon is so nice, he’s been out working with her three times and knows her. We didn’t really push her too hard in the morning, we just let her fit because we knew the pace was in there.

“She will be participating in the deposit program for 2-year-olds at Del Mar. We’ve got a few others going with her behind her back, so it’s good to have the first one and get one under our belt.”

The winner’s 22-year-old dam also spawned MGSW Last Judgment (Congrats) and SW/GSP Isolate (Mark Valeski) dams. She produced another one Adios Charlie last year before returning to Ocala Stud resident, himself a $400,000 OBSMAR graduate.
