Police are searching a dumpster as they investigate the murder of a Hong Kong model with severed legs found inside a refrigerator.
More than 100 officers wearing protective gear used excavators and shovels to search by Abby Choi arms and body are still missing.
The skull of a young woman, believed to be Ms. Choi’s, was found in a cooking pot seized from the property where her leg was found.
Officials believe a hole in the back of her skull was where she was fatally struck.
The search for her remaining body parts is taking place at the Northeast New Territories Dump in Ta Kwu Ling, Hong Kong, near the border with mainland China.
Superintendent Alan Chung told reporters: “The suspects discarded several bags of important evidence on the morning of February 22.
“There could be some human body parts or they could be the victim’s clothes and phone – or even a weapon.”
So far, the search hasn’t turned up anything significant other than bones – and police have been unable to determine if they are human or animal.
Ms. Choi, 28, was last seen a week ago on Tuesday, February 21, with the police found her leg in the refrigerator a few days later.
Human tissue was discovered in the soup pot when police searched the home Friday.
Local media reported that the house is in Lung Mei village, Thai Po and is said to have been rented by Choi’s ex-father-in-law a few weeks ago.

Ms. Choi, whose Instagram account has more than 100,000 followers, posted a few days before her disappearance, sharing a photo shoot she did for the cover of fashion magazine L’Officiel Monaco.
Police said she was embroiled in a financial dispute involving tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars with her ex-husband and his family – with “several people” unhappy with the way she handled her finances.
Ex-husband and ex-wife accused
Ms. Choi’s ex-husband, Alex Kwong, 28 years old, his father, Kwong Kau and brother, Anthony Kwong, charged with murder on Monday, while her former mother-in-law, Jenny Li, faces one count of perverting the course of justice.

All four suspects Guarantee refused and have yet to enter any pleas. They will appear in court in May.
However, Alex Kwong was released on bail after appearing in another court on Tuesday for a previous theft charge.
Police said another woman arrested for allegedly assisting other suspects in the case has been released on bail pending further investigation.
She is believed to have had an affair with her ex-husband’s father, the force said earlier.

Ms. Choi’s family went to the morgue to identify the body before gathering near the house in Lung Mei village in black to pay their respects.
Her friend, Bernard Cheng, said the model is the mother of four children aged 3 to 10.
Alex Kwong is the father of two older children in the care of his grandmother.
Ms. Choi’s second husband, Chris Tam, has two young children with his family.
Her friend, Bernard Cheng, said she has a good relationship with her family, including her husband’s parents.
He said he initially believed she had been kidnapped.
“I can’t imagine such a good person, so full of love, so innocent, someone who has done nothing wrong to be killed like this,” he said.
“My heart is still heavy. I can’t sleep well.”
