ABB says its ‘PixelPaint’ technology can be applied in a single coat and could open the door to specialized and personalized designs for the automotive market.

“At a time when consumers want more customized products, PixelPaint is a game changer and allows any design to be replicated,” said Sami Atiya, President of Robotics & Discrete Automation at ABB. sustainable and affordable way.”

There is also the possibility of auto companies using technology to paint production cars. The company’s RobotStudio software helps track the paint head close enough to the body of the vehicle to ensure 100% coverage, meaning nothing goes to waste. ABB says automakers can cut production times in half and reduce costs by up to 60% using the technology.
