Aaron Rodgers: Retirement ‘in the thought process’

Calling Aaron RodgersThe “exciting” 2021 “campaign” has nothing short of to say.

So it’s perhaps no surprise that the 38-year-old Packers defender gave the media an interesting answer when asked about retiring after this season.

Despite a dramatic season – which has given way to a dramatic regular season – the defending MVP league champions have been on good terms with Green Bay football club and have announced the excellent numbers in the process.

On the other hand, it was understandable that Rodgers wanted to focus on the task at hand. His team (12-3, first place in NFC North) has two regular games of the season left before the knockouts begin.

Then again, these comments also came from the same guy who had been feuding with the Packers organization for months before deciding to report to boot camp late. With that in mind, it would be understandable if football fans expected him to do a miracle right after his departure.

In any case, Rodgers still has at least a few games left as the Packers aim to make a deep playoff.

Green Bay ends the regular season with games against the Minnesota Vikings (7-8) and the Detroit Lions (2-12-1).
