This is why another judge denied Diddy bail
The ruling was issued on Wednesday (November 27) and the judge cited concerns about Sean Combs threatening the case. In five pages, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian explained that Diddy posed a “serious risk” to witnesses and evidence. As previously reported, a search of his cell at MDC resulted in officials finding prohibited communications. That information was included in last week’s bail hearing.

Prosecutors previously accused Diddy of using family members to try to change public perception of him and allegedly influence the future jury pool. The prosecution cited his viral FaceTime call with his children on the occasion of his 55th birthday. Meanwhile, the producers’ lawyers tried to argue that it was impossible for Diddy to be a flight risk or threatened with a $50 million bail package. Ultimately, the judge disagreed with his defense and sided with the prosecutors. “There is compelling evidence of Combs’ violent tendencies,”Justice Arun Subramanian wrote.
“The court finds that the government has presented clear and convincing evidence that no condition or combination of conditions would reasonably ensure the safety of the public,” the judge added.
As mentioned, in the past few weeks since Diddy’s arrest in September, two other judges have also agreed that Diddy would be a danger when released on bail. He previously pleaded not guilty to charges related to fraud, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. His trial is scheduled to begin on May 5. At this time, his attorneys have not publicly commented on the verdict.
