In this season, Billie predicts that Michael will bring the apocalypse, as the house itself is built on the gateway to hell.
Lana Winters – Part 2: ‘Asylum’
Sarah took on the role of Lana Winters for AHS: Asylum, which premiered in 2012. This time, the phenomenal actress plays a devoted journalist trying to expose the truths and horrors inside Briarcliff Manor. Her look changed from blonde to a bold red hairstyle with dramatic red lipstick. In this spooky season, Lana finds herself a patient admitted to a refugee camp and subjected to “electric shocks and conversion therapy,” according to Copyright Minutes.
Cordelia Goode – Part 3: ‘Coven’
When moving to Part 3, AHS: Covenwe see Sarah playing the role of Cordelia Goode, along with the actresses Emma Roberts, Taissa Farmiga, and again, Jessica Lange. Cordelia is the principal of Miss Robichaux Academy, and is extremely protective of her institution. At one point, the headmistress even stabbed herself in the eye to succeed her mother as the Supreme. This is also known as one of the most classic seasons of the beloved series.
Bette and Dot Tattler – Part 4: ‘Freakshow’
In October 2014, Sarah took on the supporting role of conjoined twins Bette and Dot Tattler in AHS: Freakshow. Bette is seen as the gentler and more serious twins, while Dot is the victim of her sister’s jealousy. Dot is a singer, and when Bette found out about this, she was very upset and started turning against her siblings. Bette also killed her biological mother by stabbing her while they were fighting. Other stars in this season include Evan peters, Angela Bassett, Michael Chiklisand Denis O’Hare.
Sally McKenna – Part 5: ‘Hotel’
Part 5, AHS: Hotelis one of the most star-studded seasons with the main character being Countessdescribed by the singer Lady Gaga. In this abandoned and bloody hotel, Sarah plays the character Sally McKenna, a ghost with a drug addiction. Sally is a permanent resident of Hotel Cortez who can always be seen with messy eye makeup because of her constant tears. Sarah’s character craves love and attention and will do her best to get it.
Shelby Miller & Audrey Tindall – Season 6: ‘Roanoke’
AHS: Roanoke based on the true events of the disappearance of a colony in Roanoke, North Carolina. For Sarah’s sixth season on AHS She portrayed two characters: Shelby Miller and Audrey Tindall. The latter is a British actress in love with Rory Monahan (Evan Peters), however, Audrey ends up playing Shelby in a documentary about the colony. Shelby is a believer in supernatural events occurring at Roanoke, but Audrey is extremely suspicious and doesn’t feel the same way.
Ally Mayfair-Richards and Susan Atkins – Part 7: ‘The Cult’
By 2017, the show’s creators, Ryan Murphy, found another perfect role for Sarah. In AHS: Cult She plays Ally Mayfair-Richards, a mother and wife married to Ivy (Alison Pill). Ally’s many obsessions end for the best of her, leading to her killing Ivy to keep their son, Oz, to herself. In addition, Ally stopped taking drugs and ended cooperation with the FBI to “infiltrate the cult”, according to Screen.
Wilhemina Venable – Part 8: ‘Apocalypse’
Once again, Sarah takes on an unpleasant character in AHS: Doomsday. This time she’s Wilhemina Venable, administrator of Outpost 3. Sarah skipped Season 9, titled AHS: 1984. But of course, Ryan had her return for Season 10 of AHS: Dual Feature. For the Emmy winner’s most recent season on the show, she played two roles (as she usually does AHS): TB Karen and the former First Lady Mamie Eisenhower. Notably, Season 10 is divided into two parts: Red tide and Dead valley. In the first season, Sarah plays Karen, an artist hungry for creative inspiration in Provincetown. Karen also suffers from addiction and apathy.
