Exploring the ‘Wild West’ of EV Charging
Electric car is is having a moment. People generally like EVs because they’re greener, quieter, and generally more fun to drive than gas-powered cars. But a sticking point in the EV revolution is charging. There are more charging stations than ever before, but not enough. And the way those charging stations are distributed can make long-distance EV driving a bit of a gamble.
This week on Gadget Lab, WIRED editor Aarian Marshall joins the show to talk about the state of EV charging, what it’s like to feel “charge anxiety,” and whether people really need to worry so much about the EV battery fires in the news.
