Kevin Gates Reacts After Poking Fun at YouTuber
Sometimes, playing a little too much can lead to getting cuffed to the head! That’s exactly what seems to have happened when one YouTuber tried to run up Kevin Gates.
After the prank went wrong, Gates posted a mysterious message on social media, seemingly in response to a failed interaction.
Here’s What Happened When a YouTuber Met Kevin Gates
On August 15, YouTuber Wayon uploaded nearly 10 minute video about him approaching the ‘Really Really’ rapper at a Topanga mall in California. He titled the video ‘Kevin Gates attacked me!’
It all started when Wayon told the artist — who appeared to be accompanied by a woman holding a shopping bag — that he looked like Kevin Gates. The YouTuber repeated his claim a second time to the woman.
In a calm voice, Kevin interrupted and said: “Hey, stop messing with me and get out of here.” As the trio exited the mall’s sliding doors, Wayon demanded that Gates say “the b**ch in that ***y.” In response, the video appears to show Kevin slapping Wayon on the back of the head.
The YouTuber cried out, clutching his neck and saying: “Oh, Kevin Gates. What the hell is Kevin Gates? Come on.” But the rapper continued to push, seemingly heading towards a waiting car as Wayon complained.
“What the hell, Kevin? I don’t like that, Kevin. Kevin Gates just attacked me, man,” Wayon said. “…I just got punched by Kevin Gates, it was a low punch. I’m not going to lie, I just got punched in the back of the head by Kevin Gates. Fuck!”
As the clip continues, Wayon brags about Gates allegedly putting his hands on him! He also clarifies that he’s “not trolling” and was genuinely surprised to see Gates.

How rappers reacted after video went viral online
As mentioned, Kevin recently took to his Instagram Stories to talk about physical interactions with Wayon. Speaking in first and third person, he talked about being raised better and learning from mistakes, including how to approach people.
“Don’t ever do shit like that kid. I didn’t raise you to be like that, kid,” he said. “You just go ‘Hey, how you doing? I’m Kevin, I don’t want anything, I just came to say hi. Plain and simple, gangsta. That’s it, that’s it. Come on, man.”
He smiled and added: “Everything is fine, baby. Players mess up too. Mistakes make us great. Learn from your mistakes. Don’t make them again.”
