Of course, Google is expected to discuss the security and privacy aspects of such AI features, especially after Microsoft Windows Recovery controversy. It helps Android 15 — the next version of the operating system is likely to launch in beta during or shortly after the event — offering a range of security features means protecting user data. Android 15 will also introduce new features like Private space, Theft Detection Lockand more.

Google will likely put all that software into many of its new hardware products, including Pixel 9 series. Unlike previous years, Google’s latest phone lineup will include the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. They’re not necessarily easy to pronounce, but the differences are more streamlined than the names suggest. Here are the key differences based on leaked marketing materials shared by 91mobiles.

  • Pixel 9: The smallest standard Google phone could have a 6.3-inch Actua display (not Super Actua display), 12GB RAM, 10.5MP front camera and only two rear cameras (50MP wide angle and 48MP ultra wide angle).
  • Pixel 9 Pro:The Pixel 9 “Pro” model could have a 6.3-inch Super Actua display, meaning it will have higher brightness, 16GB of RAM, a 42MP front camera, and three rear cameras (50MP wide, 48MP ultra-wide, and 48MP telephoto).
  • Pixel 9 Pro XL:The XL model of the Pixel 9 Pro could feature a larger 6.8-inch Super Actua display along with similar storage and camera configurations.
  • Pixel 9 Pro Fold:The foldable version of the Pixel 9 Pro could feature a 6.3-inch Actua outer display and an 8-inch Super Actua inner display, 16GB of RAM, a 10MP front camera, and the same camera configuration as last year’s Pixel Fold (48MP wide-angle, 10.8MP ultra-wide-angle, and 10.8MP telephoto lenses.)

Marketing materials also suggest that all four models will run on Google’s Tensor G4 chip, support Emergency SOS with crisis alerts, and receive seven years of software and security updates and one year of Gemini Advanced access

In terms of industrial design, Google has gone with flatter edges made of aluminum, with a satin finish (charcoal, porcelain, rose, and hazelnut finishes) and a shroud-shaped camera island on the back. If you’re a fan of the iPhone 15 or Samsung Galaxy S24 design — or you’re ZDNET Jack Wallen — the new Pixel 9 series is definitely for you.

3. Google Pixel Buds Pro 2

It’s been two years since Google launched the original version Pixel Buds ProAnd while ZDNET found them to have rich sound and a nice design, they were in need of an upgrade. A recent Android Title The post points to an improved set of Pixel earbuds with a similar two-tone design as the original but with larger speaker grilles and wing tips.

The shared image shows four color options for the Pixel Buds Pro 2: charcoal, porcelain, mint, and pink, all encased in the familiar egg-shaped charging case. The charging case has LED indicators, likely for pairing and battery status, and there’s just one USB-C port on the bottom.

As for new audio features, we’ll just have to wait and see. If Google wants to improve on the original Pixel Buds Pro, improved active noise cancellation and some form of spatial audio playback would be a great place to start.

4. Google Pixel Watch 3

Rumors suggest that coming soon Google Pixel Watch 3 will bring minor changes, although the company is expected to release a XL size is largerquite similar to how the company will make the Pixel 9 Pro bigger this year.

Adding a larger option to its wearable lineup would give customers two sizes to choose from (41mm and 45mm) and help Google reach and potentially attract more users. ZDNET is a prime example. Matthew Miller tested both the first and second-generation Pixel Watch models, and the reason he couldn’t switch was because of the smaller size and better fit.

It would also make sense for Google to include a larger battery in the Pixel Watch 3 XL, although larger capacity doesn’t always translate to longer battery life if the display is more power-hungry. Finally, a recent FCC listing indicates that the new Pixel Watch 3 supports ultra-wideband (or UWB), which is important for features like Tracking Find My Device.
