Along with this weekend Splatoon 3 Splatfest ‘Summer Nights’, Nintendo has released a special new interview featuring all the past and present groups and idols from throughout the series. Including ‘Deep Cut’, the ‘Off the Hook’ crew from Splatoon 2and ‘Squid Sisters’ from the beginning Splatoon game.
Oh, and if you’re wondering about an upcoming collaboration – it looks like it could be in the works. Here’s a little snippet from Nintendo’s interview:
Interviewer: We see a lot of fans hoping for a collaboration between all three of your groups.
Big man: Ay! Ay. (Sounds great! I’ll say yes any time.)
Creepy: Should I make time for the Anarchy Splatcast special? Heh heh, imagine what that would do to our ratings…
Callie:Oh! I just had a great idea!
Marie: Just a moment, Callie. Please beat the drum…
Callie:We’re going to make a song with all of us!
Marina: What?!
Big man: Oh oh?!
Fried:Hey, NOW we’re talking!
CallieWhat do you think? Interesting, right?
Marina: What a great idea! Great. Just…
Marie: What is it?
Marina: I don’t know what it will sound like.
Marie: Well, because our styles are very different.
Creepy: Luckily, we have an expert in that field. Right, Big Man?
Big man: Ay! Ay. (I knew I would have to take on this! It’s hard enough keeping the three of us together, let alone all seven of us.)
Pearl: Oh, it’ll be fine. You have Marina to help you, and she’s a genius!
Marina: I will try. Let’s work together and do our best!
Big man: Oh? Oh. (You mean it? One of you is worth 300 ghostwriters.)
Fried:Well, if we do this, we have to come up with a group name for the seven of us. What about Seafood Squad?
Callie: I have one! Tricolor All-Stars!
Marina:The star angle is nice, but what about Sparkling ☆ Seven Sea Stars?
Pearl:I don’t feel any of this.
Marie: Well, we all sing Now or Never!, right? What about The Now or Nevers?
Creepy: That worked. Great job, Marie.
Big man: Ay. Ay. (I think it’s refreshing. It conveys the urge to draw a lot of pictures and not let that moment pass.)
Marina:However, I still feel like something is missing.
Fried:Then join us and become the Super Seafood Squad now or never!
Callie: Cool! I love how it sounds like a superhero team!
Marie: Dibs on white clothes.
Creepy: Too long! We don’t need the “Huge Seafood Squadron” part!
Pearl: Well then, just Now or Never Seven? Is that okay with you guys? Then let’s get started!
