The Capcom Next – Summer 2024 digital event shared key details about two upcoming games. Read on to learn all about Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster and a new demo for Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess.
First up this summer on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 is Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess on July 19. Let’s start with the latest trailer.
Experience a new world from Capcom today
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a new Japanese-inspired IP from Capcom coming to PS5 and PS4, continuing the spirit of new and innovative games throughout the company’s 40-year history. In preparation for the game’s launch on July 19, a demo of the game is available today!
In the demo, take your first steps up the defiled Mount Kafuku and experience the game’s blend of action and strategy in a content-packed demo.
In addition to the opportunity to test out the game’s unique blend of gameplay styles, this demo also has a unique twist! We’re challenging the community to work together to complete two challenges to earn free in-game rewards for all players. You’ll want to play and work together to achieve them, as these rewards include co-op content from the beloved 2006 action-adventure classic Okami.
In the first challenge, we tasked the community with defeating Seethe creatures and purifying the impurity to earn 1 billion in-game crystals. These crystals are earned through normal gameplay, so play the demo and defeat as many Seethe as you can! Completing this quest will net all players two Okami-inspired rewards: a costume for Soh themed after the Celestial Broom Goddess Amaterasu and a Thunder Edge weapon inspired by one of Amaterasu’s Divine Instruments. Awooooooo~
Additionally, finding 15 Lucky Mallet Easter eggs hidden in the demo and sharing them on social media will earn you a Waka costume for Yoshiro and an Okami soundtrack pack, which lets you listen to the Okami collaboration theme while playing Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. This game revolves around working with villagers to purify the world, so we hope you feel the spirit of cooperation as you play and earn these Okami rewards.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is now available for pre-order on PS5 and PS4, and the worldwide launch is fast approaching on Friday, July 19th! All of us on the team are looking forward to everyone getting their hands on the game and experiencing its unique gameplay for themselves.
Frank returns in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster

This game is nothing like a zombie game, as this new version has been revived using Capcom’s RE Engine, bringing improved graphics, redesigned lighting and shadows, and character models at up to 4K resolution and 60 FPS.
If you’re new to Dead Rising, the story takes place in Willamette, Colorado. Freelance photojournalist Frank West sets out in search of a scoop and finds himself in the sprawling Willamette Parkview Mall, caught up in a zombie outbreak with just 72 hours to uncover the truth. Created with a love of B-movie horror, the original Dead Rising is beloved for its ironic serious tone, dark humor, quirky characters, and unique gameplay mechanics.
In the game, manage your time wisely to explore the mall’s diverse areas, filled with all sorts of goods that can be useful when fighting off hordes of zombies or helping to get survivors to safety from the dangers of the mall and its inhabitants. Use whatever you can as weapons, don outrageous outfits, and unleash death-defying moves as you immerse yourself in the over-the-top world of Dead Rising!
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster comes with a bunch of tweaks and quality-of-life changes to make this updated version of the game run well on new platforms. Here’s a quick list of some of the tweaks.

Pre-orders for Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster start today. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes 17 additional costumes for Frank, as well as 17 special BGM tracks. Pre-order the game to receive three additional costumes, including Frank West’s original look from the 2006 game, Dead Rising 2 protagonist Chuck Greene’s outfit, and a costume for the mall’s mascot, the Willamette Parkview Mall Bee. Pre-orders also come with three additional BGM tracks.
