The freed hostage’s parents told the BBC about the hostage’s return
There was an euphoric reaction in Israel to special forces’ rescue of four hostages from Hamas captivity in central Gaza on Saturday.
But for the parents of one of those hostages, Russian-born Israeli Andrey Kozlov, it was nothing short of “a miracle.”
Speaking to the BBC, Eugenia and Michael Kozlov gave an emotional account of how they heard the news that their son – one of whom was codenamed “diamond” by the army during the operation – was free and detailing his orders over eight months.
