Square Enix announced it will bring back the seasonal event Sunshine Seeker Final Fantasy XI. It will start on June 14, 2024, and everyone has a chance to win a new piece of furniture until June 27, 2024.
To join Sunshine Seeker, you first need the Mandragora Mask and Suit. They are distributed at Bastok Mines (H-9), Southern San d’Oria (I-8) and Windurst Walls (H-11). Babban Ny Mheillea, a Mandragora, will be there to present them. If you talk to an NPC while in costume, you can join the game. Your goal is to collect pieces of sunlight, while avoiding several NPCs for three minutes. You receive seeds for shards to participate in the lottery for prizes. The new piece of furniture you can get is the Adenium Bench.

Even with its age, it’s not uncommon to see regular event updates in the Final Fantasy XI. For example, Seasonal Easter egg hunts return in March 2024. Summer material upgrade campaigns also began at end of May 2024.
